Remember this gorgeous couple?! I was privileged to shoot Lauren and Pat’s maternity session a few months ago, and was so excited when they asked me to photograph a newborn lifestyle session with them. This beautiful couple just welcomed a son, Camden Christopher, to the world, and I captured some priceless moments with them. It’s my favorite part of my job when I get to follow my clients through life, and capture all their biggest milestones. ( Not to mention the perk of forming some amazing bonds along the way)
Camden Christopher was born on August 18th at 6:04pm weighing 7lbs, 9oz. Camden loves skin-to-skin contact and mom and dad snuggles. He was wide awake the majority of the time I was with the family, taking in the sights and smells of everything around him. He is such a curious little guy!
As I look back at these portraits, what stands out to me the most is how beloved tiny Camden obviously is. I captured some sweet, soft moments between Lauren and Camden, Pat and Camden, and the new family together. Mom and Dad simply adore their most recent addition. His nursery has gorgeously gentle muted tones with pops of whimsy and an understated animal theme— and is full of natural light. What a lovely place to grow up!
Even though Camden was the star of the day, furry big brother Benjamin almost stole the limelight. He is so obviously unsure of how to feel about not being an only child anymore! The image of him pouting while Mom, Dad, and baby snuggle may be scientific proof that dogs, in fact, do have emotions. Benjamin is, however, so sweet and gentle with his little brother. (I crack up everytime I see the image of him sniffing Camden’s foot.) I am positive these two will soon be the best of friends.
