Longtime followers of the blog should remember this gorgeous family: Mom Nazaneen, Dad Anthony, Baby Hayden, and Furbaby Shea. I have been proud to capture Hayden’s first year of life (from maternity to year one), and I feel so blessed when a family welcomes me into their lives for the most important milestones of a child’s first year. Now, I am excited to be joining them for Round #2: Naz is expecting once again!
We decided to hold this session at Quinnipiac University, which was the perfect spot for a multitude of reasons. It’s a hidden spot, tucked away in the suburb of Hamden, Connecticut, overlooking Sleeping Giant state park. But, more importantly, Quinnipiac is where Nazaneen and Anthony first met when they were students! See that stately brick dormitory? That was Anthony’s dorm! (And, really, the images on the bridge with the soon-to-be-five some are some of my favorites.)
We took some time to explore the campus together. Naz looks so peaceful next to the fountain in the pond. (Fun fact: The fountain lights up at nighttime!) This day was absolutely freezing, but you wouldn’t know it from their smiles. The group portraits on the lawn in front of the Lender School of Business (yes, named after the bagel guy) reveal just how happy this family is together. And just look at that breathtaking New England foliage, courtesy of the Sleeping Giant.
The stone steps of Arnold Bernhard Library also turned out to be the perfect spot to grab some images of Nazaneen, Anthony, Nazaneen’s bump, and a photograph of their impending arrival. This happy duo does not yet know the gender of their baby— Hayden’s gender was a surprise too— but they are so excited to find out. And, who knows? Maybe he or she will, like mommy and daddy, cheer on the Quinnipiac Bobcats versus the Yale Bulldogs at a hockey match one day!
