I might be biased, but I have the best couples. When Michele and Steve asked me to take part in their wedding day, I was a combination of honored and ecstatic: their venue was one of my dream locations! (And, as you’ll see, this couple made it even dreamier.)

Michele readied for her wedding day at her home in Higganum, Connecticut, along with her sister (and Maid of Honor), mom, and children. The pinks in their dresses perfectly complimented the flowers from Haddam Nursery in Michele’s bouquet. Michele is so clearly loved by these important women in her life. But, I would be remiss if I didn’t praise Michele’s dress— this bride looked absolutely breathtaking in her white gown. Her train was light and airy, just like the summer day of their wedding.

Michele and Steve were married at St. Joseph’s Church in a traditional, beautiful, intimate ceremony, surrounded by their closest friends and family. After they said their vows, Michele and Steve clasped their hands above their heads: married!

I can’t forget to mention how handsome and suave Steve was on this day. He was like a GQ model: full of charisma and a little bit of sass! The moment I brought them down to the dock he kicked into full blown model mode. The family portraits on the water reveal the perfect Connecticut seaside afternoon. I was also lucky enough to squeeze in some one on one time with the bride and groom, despite the intense heat and humidity they rocked it. Could you even tell it was 90% humid that day?! Photographing on the main strip in Downtown Essex has always been one of my top photography dreams, and I am so glad I was able to fulfill it with Michele and Steve!

The night capped off at the Griswold Inn with some craft beer, bubbly champagne, and a lovely cake by Cakes by Donna. Congratulations, Michele and Steve, on your newfound wedded bliss!
