Let’s continue our time traveling adventure, shall we? Journey back with me to October of 2018 to Kara and Adam’s sweet, elegant wedding!

I want to begin this entry not with the wedding ceremony, but with the pre-ceremony, because Kara and Adam’s day was something special. I adore the cheeky photos of Kara and her bride tribe (and I love that she decided to include her precious flower girl). Kara also wrote Adam a love letter, and I felt honored to be able to capture his emotions as he read her words of endless devotion.

Kara and Adam are especially unique, however, because they prominently included their parents in their pre-ceremony preparations. You can see mom and dad proudly helping Adam shimmy into his tuxedo. Kara’s mom also gently assisted her daughter, and I adore how we can see the love mom and daughter have for each other. But, what was really special about this morning was Kara did a first look with her dad. The two hugged each other close— Kara even pinned the boutonniere on dad, and the emotions on her face say enough.— and I am so happy these two will have these portraits for life.

The ceremony took place at a quaint gazebo at the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, Connecticut. The vows went off without a hitch… and then Kara and Adam were hitched! (I don’t know which I prefer: the romantic first kiss shot or the celebratory recessional one.)

After the wedding, it was time to party! And, man, was it a reception made for just that. The bride and groom had their first dance to “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”… and the same goes for all their family and friends! All the guests danced the night away, only stopping for a rustic style naked cake by my favorite- Cakes by Donna. The flower girl was carried off to sleep; Kara changed into a sleek, stylish romper, and all lived Happily Ever After!
