In early June of 2015, Aimee and Alex swiped right on each other… and haven’t left each other’s sides since the day they met in late June.

As you can see from their adorable romantic milestones prop, they became “Facebook Official” a short time later, on August 14, 2015, and have only had eyes for each other. There is so much love between Aimee, Alex, and their furbaby, Sirius, and I know we can all see it in this frolic through the woods, and yes I say frolic because you know that’s just what I made them do.

This couple was, however, bonded by an almost-tragedy. It was June 2017, and life was going wonderfully for the trio: they were living together; Alex had recently purchased his dream truck. But, on a fateful early summer day, Aimee got a call that no woman ever wants to receive: Alex and Sirius were in a terrible accident. Alex was, thankfully, fine, but his truck was instantly totaled: and Sirius was ejected from the car and, terrified, ran off into the woods. It took a team of people looking nonstop for four days, but he was recovered, safe and sound. Alone, if that part just doesn’t pull at your heartstrings, I don’t know what will.

Moments like these make us realize how lucky we are to have those we love. Less than a month later, on their two year anniversary celebration, the couple traveled up to Boston, Massachusetts. There, Alex got down on one knee and presented Aimee with a vintage-inspired pear shaped diamond ring.

Aimee told me she “can’t remember not loving Alex,” and these portraits certainly capture their raw, beautiful love for one another. I especially adore the spontaneous twirls… and, of course, the puppy smooches.  I had so much fun with this couple, and I can’t wait until their wedding this summer. Working with Aimee and Alex is a reminder to cherish every moment and not take the little things for granted, do the things that scare you, don’t hold back on your dreams, and take those chances. <3
