I have been so eager to share this session with all of you. As most of you know, I am a huge Disney fan… so when Bryan and Haley asked me if I would travel with them to Walt Disney World for an engagement session, I couldn’t believe my luck! Haley grew up traveling to see the Mouse every year, and she has slowly but surely begun to bring Bryan into the Disney fold. He really had no idea what he was getting himself into, for this trip.

For this session, we decided to shoot at perhaps the two loveliest places in all of Walt Disney World: the Magic Kingdom and the Boardwalk. But, let it be known that we shot EVERYWHERE. There may or may not have been a camera strap tan line by the end of the trip. Magic was made everywhere.

The Magic Kingdom was an absolutely perfect place that let Bryan and Haley be themselves: at once silly and romantic. The twosome snuggled up on Big Thunder Mountain railroad ( to be honest I’m surprised at how many of those were actually in focus..) and Dumbo: I just adore how these two aren’t afraid to be big kids around one another. All that park touring worked up an appetite, so we ate, and ate, and ate. Some popcorn in the shadow of the castle after they whirled around on the teacups. If we pictured everything this probably would have become more of a food blog. And, of course, they made wishes in Cinderella’s fountain (but what could they have left to wish for)

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is the perfect place for Magic Hour. Bryan and Haley danced to the whimsical atmosphere ( because if you don’t dance, did you even have a session with me?) — but also got silly in the photo booth. Haley told me that she feels Bryan knows her better than she even knows herself… but that didn’t mean she wasn’t about to beat him at a water gun game, and by Bryan’s reaction I’m pretty sure he didn’t see that one coming. Even when competing (and eating Mickey bars!), the love these two have for one another shines through, and a magical place becomes that much more magical. ” ‘I don’t believe in magic’. The young boy said. The old man smiled. ‘you will, when you see her.’ “

This whole trip was nothing short of magic, it felt like the rain was against us the whole time but in pure Disney magic we were blessed with rainbows and clear skies for each session.

But, I think the image of Bryan lifting Haley up in front of the castle may be one of my favorite images of all time. These two are at once supportive and graceful, and I felt honored to be a part of this moment with them. Congratulations, Bryan and Haley, bring on November 3rd. Cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after.
